Creation of a design system for use across the breadth of the Stack Sports entities. The design system would contain a revised color palette, typography style guide, components to use in designing pages and content sections. The design system would also have a code version of corresponding elements, for the purposes of having consistency in builds of pages and content sections.
The Challenge
One challenge in launching a design system, is getting sign off from different groups across the company. Convincing team leads of the advantages of having a design system and why it is something worth contributing time to. Another challenge faced, was bringing the design system to the entites within Stack Sports... unifying the look and feel across different products, with the intention of having a cohesive product across many differnt smaller products. Everything exsisting under the Stack Sports umbrella.
The Solution
A design system was created, launched, and began to be adapted acoss Stack Sports company wide. The design system exsisted as a "living" set of resources, always being adapted, improved upon and added to as necessary.
